We have only just begun...
We purchased this property in 2018 because we fell in love with the location. Our 40 acres has a variety of wooded and open areas. There is a small pond. We maintain the trails to 4 foot for comfortable riding. Our first project was a lean-to in the front pasture and fencing so that we could view the horses from our living room. Fencing is 4 strand electro-braid which we maintain clear and tight. You won't find any burdock or clutter in these pastures!
Stall barn
A 65x30 pole building was constructed in the summer of 2018. Currently it has 8 stalls, wash rack, and storage for boarders. We insulated in 2023 to maintain cool in the summer and warm in the winter. We chose lime screenings as the base for safer footing and drainage. There is ample room to turn and store a trailer. There is also a concrete wash stall and insulated feed room with hot water heater.
We've planned for growth...
We completed the building of our 60x180 indoor arena November of 2021. There is a 20x20 shop and air conditioned lounge that overlooks the arena. It was fully insulated in the spring of 2023. . Future goals include blacktop pad, insulation in the horse barn, more pasture, and an outdoor arena.
